Alejandro Espinosa-Rada is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Social Networks Lab in ETH Zürich. Before arriving in Zürich, he did his PhD in Sociology at the Mitchell Centre for Social Network Analysis at the University of Manchester. The thesis was supervised by Dr Elisa Bellotti, Prof Martin Everett, and Dr Termeh Shafie. Also, he was an adjunct assistant professor, in which he taught courses related to social network analysis and computational social sciences at the Departments of Sociology (P. Catholic University of Chile and Alberto Hurtado University), Department of Computer Science (P. Catholic University of Chile), and Department of History (University of Santiago). He hosts the podcast ‘Knitting Networks’ with Francisca Ortiz as some of his scientific activities. A podcast sponsored by the International Network for Social Network Analysis (INSNA). And as part of his research, he is interested in topics related to the sociology of networks, the sociology of socio-cognitive scientific networks, multilayer networks, statistical network models, and computational social science. Likewise, he is the co-editor with Francisca Ortiz of the ‘Handbook of Social Network Analysis in Latin America’ (in Press).
