Sociologist from the Catholic University of Maule (Chile). Her main research interests include socio-ecological sustainability, socio-environmental conflicts, and sustainability science. Currently, her work focuses on exploring transition scenarios towards socio-ecological sustainability in Chile and studying scientific networks in the production of sustainability knowledge in Latin America. Karla has collaborated on various Fondecyt projects, including research on ecological modernization, heterogeneous economies, and socio-environmental conflicts in the Maule region.
